Karma

This was Karma when she was a puppy. She's now 2 and back in our system through no fault of her own! She's a great dog with lots of goofy energy and tons of love.
I am pretty sure she'd enjoy a hiking companion or someone who spends a lot of time outdoors. She has a great "off switch" in the house though and is fully house trained. She does not chew or get into mischief when she's left alone...which is more than we can say about our own dog!
Right now she has issues meeting other dogs on leash. Issues as in, she doesn't have a clue what to do and wants to meet other dogs SO BAD that she pulls and pulls right into their face! Talk about offensive! So, we're going to work on that. Otherwise she's fine with other dogs, even our resident dog-reactive dog. She is also supposed to be good with cats and children although I wouldn't recommend her going to a home with toddlers as she is quite a tall girl and can get kind of rambunctious!
Karma is also a bit nervous in new situations and gets scared when people rush toward her. I have been working with her to desensitize her to out stretched hands coming towards her and it seems to be working. With some good solid structure and consistency, I'm sure she'll have an amazing turn around in no time!

(Thanks Theresa for the puppy picture!)

  1. What kind of dog is she?, I have a year old kitten named Bella, would Karma get along with her?

  2. She is most likely a Shepherd/Border Collie cross. It's hard to tell. We got her litter off Tsuu T'ina. The family that returned her said she gets a long fine with cats, I would personally err on the side of caution and make sure they are supervised! Karma is still very much a puppy!
