Pet of the Week, Ollie!

Meet Olivier (Ollie for short). He's one awesome pup! I've spent some time with him, so I know.

To be honest with you, I'm not really sure why he's still with ARF. Sometimes he's kind of 'bark-y' at PetSmart, so I understand that's a little off-putting. He just does it because he's bored. He wants to do something and everything that is going on outside his x-pen likely seems WAY more interesting than what's going on inside the x-pen.

Ollie was one of the '30 Below Pups', so he's been around for a while. All of his siblings have been adopted, so he's the last one. I figure, someone is saving the best for last. This little guy is SMART and eager to please, he's highly food motivated and loves to learn. What more could you want?!

Ollie's foster home says that he is a good dog who plays hard and sleeps like a brick. Not bad for a pup. He gets a long with other dogs and doesn't mind cats. He's pretty relaxed in the house and has been caught napping on the couch when no one is looking.

Ollie is so crate trained, that when his foster mom puts her coat on, he goes running into his crate! How awesome is that? He is also house trained (will bark to be let out), comes for a whistle and he knows sit, shake a paw and down. He loves to play with toys and play out in the snow. Hopefully he likes playing in mud or grass just as much, because the snow isn't going to stick around for much longer (I hope!). He also likes to hide things in his crate, so if anything ever goes missing, that's where you should look!

Ollie is generally a pretty calm little fellow, except when he meets new people. He can get a little bit excited, but I think that's part of being a puppy. Some work on basic manners should help considerably with that one. Like I said before, he's smart. It doesn't seem to take him very long to figure things out!

So, if you're in the market for a smart, eager to please little fuzz ball, please fill out an application for Ollie. He's pretty cool and I doubt you'll be disappointed!
