After being in foster care for less than a week, Buddy is house trained and starting to learn sit, tricks and verbal commands are totally foreign to him still, so he'll need a bit of work. He is also working on crate training and will cry for a little bit, but then he falls a sleep and you won't hear another peep out of him until morning! Buddy loves chewing on bones and sitting with his foster brother, watching the neighbourhood through the window.
Right now, Buddy is a little bit timid and is scared by loud noises and swift movements. As a former foster home, I can tell you that the adjustment period can be a little bit unnerving for some of these dogs. Most of them have never been in a house or in a busy community. Many sounds that we hear and disregard every second are completely new and totally unknown to them. It doesn't usually take long for most dogs to figure out the sounds of city life and they quickly adjust. I'm thinking this will be the same for Buddy.
If you're looking for an adorable, shaggy dude to join your family, fill out an application for Buddy! I'm positive this one isn't going to last long!
